Keep frozen. The crab cakes contained in this package should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. Pan-fried from frozen. 1. In a 10-inch frying pan, add 1/4 cup of vegetable oil and preheat on Medium-High approximately 3 minutes. 2. Place frozen cake in the pan, cover with lid and cook for 2 minutes. 3. Turn heat to medium, flip cakes and cook uncovered for 2 minutes on each side. Flatten slightly with spatula and allow to cook for about 2 more minutes. 4. Remove from oil and place cake on paper towels to drain. Pan-fried from thawed. For the best product results, we recommend thawing the crab cakes first by placing the package in refrigerator for 12 hours ahead of cooking time. 1. Slightly flatten thawed cake with spatula. 2. In a 10-inch frying pan, add 2 Tbsp. of vegetable oil per crab cake and preheat for 2-3 minutes on medium-high heat. 3. Place cake in the pan and cook uncovered for about 2 minutes. 4. Turn heat to medium, flip cake and cook for about 2 minutes. 5. Flip the cake again and cook for an additional 2 minutes. 6. Cake is done when the outside is slightly brown and crispy on both sides. 7. Remove from oil and place cake on paper towels to drain. Baked from frozen. 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. 2. Place frozen product on greased baking sheet. Brush top with butter or margarine (optional). Cook on center rack of conventional oven 22-25 minutes. 4. Place in broiler for an additional 1 minute or until golden brown. Bake from thawed. 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. 2. Place thawed product on greased baking sheet. Brush top with butter or margarine (optional). 3. Cook on center rack of conventional oven 18-20 minutes. 4. Place in broiler for an additional 1 minute or until golden brown.
