The order was 100% accurate and delivered on time. A text message informed me that our groceries arrived at the hotel before we did. With the new airline regulations it is impossible to pack all that is necessary in a suitcase. We were able to have cleaning supplies, wine and plenty of bottled water for our week-long vacation. Best part--I did not have to do the shopping.
I would absolutely recommend the garden grocer. We purchased water, fruit, and breakfast items for the week, as well as snack bars to carry in the park. We saved money by not purchasing expensive snacks at the parks and didn't have to hurry to breakfast every morning. When we arrived at our hotel, the groceries were delivered to the room! Much better than having 20 minutes to run through an unfamiliar store!
Our family of 4 saved about $1000 the first week we used Garden Grocers (rather than go with the Disney family Meal Plan). We enjoyed breakfast in our room each morning, took snacks along to the parks to supplement our lunch, then used the money we saved to enjoy special dining experiences like the Rainforest Café. Garden Grocer delivered everything exactly as we ordered and on time. I wish I had gone on-line and placed my order a little sooner before the trip this year, because it would have been nice to have the food the first morning we arrived rather than the second day. I got the first open delivery slot I could book. The bellman at our hotel told us Grocery delivery is definitely growing in popularity. It worked well for our family, but if you are looking for character dining experiences (~$200 for a meal with Cinderella in the room, etc.), a package meal plan may be the cheapest way to do that. Our family is more interested in the rides and fireworks than elaborate meals.
